Welcome to the home of Kesgrave Kestrels and Kesgrave Town Football Club.
We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone that supported our Club Funday Tournament on 8 June. This was our first Club tournament for a few years and we would like to thank Kesgrave High School for letting us use the new artificial grass pitch (AGP) for the event. We had 44 teams and around 400 players involved in the day; the sun shone (just about) and everyone had a great time and played in great spirit.
Congratulations to the winners
- Martlesham Youth Tornadoes were the Under 10 champions;
- Kesgrave Kestrels Blues won the Under 12s group;
- Martlesham Youth Eagles were the Under 13 champions, and
- Kesgrave Kestrels Sunday team won the Under 14.
- Witnesham Wasps won the Open competition.
The Under 7 and Under 8 age groups are played on a friendly basis so everyone taking part was a winner and received a medal or mini trophy.

Thanks to all of our army of volunteers who helped on the day – it was a great team effort by everyone and we are very grateful for the help which makes these events possible. Thank you to the referees who kept the whole day on track.
We are holding our Club AGM on Sunday 7 July at the Millennium Pavilion at 8pm. All Club members welcome to attend – if you would like to come please let the Club Secretary or your age group manager know – we look forward to seeing you there.
We are looking to establish a new Under 12 team for next season – if you have a child currently in year 6 interested in joining a team please get in touch. We are looking to establish a new girls squad within the Club for next season, with a view to entering a league team at Under 13 in the 2014/15 season. If you have a daughter in year 5, 6 or 7, and are interested in being part of this new squad and team, then please get in touch and let us know.
We are a community based football club based in Kesgrave, on the eastern side of Ipswich. Our aim is to provide the opportunity for boys and girls to play football and to develop the skills associated with this team sport. We are proud of our heritage – a number of club players have gone on to play for Ipswich Town and other local clubs and Richard Wright, Titus Bramble, Luke Hyam and Billy Clark have all played for the Club during their own development.
We enjoyed a successful season in 2011/12 with our Under 13s winning the SSYL Plate competition and our Under 15s winning SSYL Division 2, many other teams including our First Team also gained promotion and developed from the previous season.
We had 15 teams within the Club for the 2012/13 season, the greatest number we have had, ranging from our Little Kestrels for players aged 5 to 7, through mini soccer and youth football up to senior football. Our youth teams play in the South Suffolk Youth League and Ipswich and Suffolk Youth Football League and our senior men’s teams play in the Suffolk and Ipswich League.

As a Club we are committed to the Respect Campaign and have gained FA Charter Standard for the Adult Section and we are working towards the FA Charter Standard for the Youth Section. You can find details of our Welfare and Child Protection arrangements on that page.
